Blue Plum Art was created by Dunedin artist Holly Hope who works across drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography, with drawing at the heart of her practice. Using graphite, charcoal, conte, and pastel, she creates evocative images that drift between memory and imagination. Often beginning with old or found photographs, Holly reinterprets these fragments through redrawing and invention, transforming them into new stories and dreamlike worlds. Her works are rich in atmosphere and mystery, exploring the space between what is seen and what is only sensed. Alongside her more introspective drawings, she creates soft pastel works for children that celebrate curiosity, nature, and the magic of storytelling. Across all her work, Holly invites viewers of all ages to step into imaginative spaces where reality and dream gently overlap.
